Some Days, the Hills Seem Endless

After completing nearly 100 kilometres of riding on the road bike last weekend, I felt much fitter. My TrainingPeaks.com analysis also pointed to a huge increase in fitness over the last month. My ride to work during the week was my fastest yet, and in the rain and the hills rolled below me much more easily.  Then came today’s ride through Lane Cove National Park to Lindfield and return.

I rode with a group of friends from the Wentworth Point Cycling Group. By the time we had done 26 kilometres I was feeling like I had ridden 100. Fortunately a refuel at a local cafe and a rest gave me the legs I needed to return home.

I have a big week of work next week and a Mountain Bike Race next weekend, then I begin my accelerated plan and taper for the RRR.
